To members of the Lafayette community:

On Thursday, April 7th from 4:15-6:00 p.m., the Center for Community Engagement will be sponsoring its annual CBLR Expo, a poster exhibit showcasing the many ways in which Lafayette students, faculty and staff are partnering with municipalities, nonprofit agencies, school districts and other organizations to improve communities in the Lehigh Valley and elsewhere.  This year both Provost Rizvi and Mayor Sal Panto will make a few remarks around 4:30 or 4:45, and there will be a short ceremony honoring recipients of several community engagement awards that are being given to students, faculty, and community partners.  The Expo will be held in the Marlo Room, and will feature community engagement projects from summer or fall 2015 as well as CBLR projects currently in progress.

If you’re a student who has participated in such a community partnership, please use the link below to register for the CBLR Expo.

If you’re a faculty or staff member who has supervised a CBLR project, please forward this email to your students and let them know that you’re nominating them to participate in the Expo and would like them to fill out the qualtrics survey.

The final deadline for student registration is Wed., March  16th (the Wed. before spring break).  But the sooner we hear from students the better!   If students submit a powerpoint of their poster by Mon., March 14th, Ms. Yvonne Osmun, Psychology Dept. secretary, can print out the poster for them.  Otherwise, students are responsible for having the poster made.  There are machines that can print out posters in Skillman library, Acopian, and the downtown Williams Visual Arts building (contact Jim Toia for the latter).

If you have any questions or concerns about participating in the Expo, you can contact Professor Elaine Reynolds (reynolde) or Prof. Debbie Byrd (byrdd).
