Partnering with Lafayette
What partnership opportunities does the College prioritize?
The College prioritizes requests from organizations that align with the College’s own mission and values, offer community impact, and those that provide opportunities for partnership across the College. Lafayette’s partnership application is where local nonprofit organizations may submit funding, sponsorship, space, or volunteer requests from Lafayette College. Requests will be reviewed by the College’s Community Engagement Council.
What can I apply for with this application?
Community organizations can apply for event sponsorship (funds, space, or volunteer support), collaborative programming, and projects with reciprocal benefits.
How are partnership decisions made?
The College’s Community Engagement Council reviews all requests. While we are not able to support every request, we look for programs and initiatives that align with the College’s mission and values, offer community impact, and those that provide opportunities for partnership across the College.
How many requests can we submit per calendar year?
Each organization may submit one funding request per calendar year, but there is no limit on the number of other requests.
What are the limits on funding and in-kind contributions?
Individual funding requests may not exceed $2,500, with additional documentation required for any request over $1,000. In-kind support is limited to $1,500 and can be combined with funding support.
Can we host our event on Lafayette’s campus?
Lafayette has limited event spaces on campus and is able to host events according to availability of these spaces. Filling out our partnership application is the best place to start.
